by & for Ed. 2 | MIAMI
By & For Ed.2 | MIAMI is an Instagram-mediated artist relief auction for Miami-based artists curated by Luna Goldberg and Laura Novoa. In its second edition, sixteen original artworks will be on view on the By & For Instagram page and open for bids via the comment section or direct messages from 5pm EST on May 29 through 5pm EST on May 31.
Initiated by Chicago-based curator Pia Singh, By & For was conceived to raise funds to directly support local artists and maker communities affected by COVID-19. It brings creatives of all ages and varying levels of experience to build a collective sense of communal well-being and to create a more democratic and participatory experience for artists and audiences alike.
By & For invites artists to donate a work for auction, which is presented to the public in a live-bidding experience on Instagram for incremental bids of $50+ over a 48-hour period. All funds raised in the auction will be divided equally among participating artists at the closing of the auction.
